MG Majestor Review 2026

Today we’re reviewing the MG Majestor, the brand-new flagship full-size SUV from MG Motor  designed to compete with big-name rivals like the Toyota Fortuner Legender and other premium SUVs in India. It’s just been unveiled and bookings are open, with deliveries starting mid-2026.

.Exterior & Design

“The MG Majestor immediately grabs attention with its bold and commanding road presence  it’s claimed to be the tallest, longest and widest SUV in its class. The front fascia features a large Mosaic Matrix grille flanked by sharp Dragon Eye LED DRLs and tri-beam LED headlights giving it a distinctive face.

It comes in both 6-seater (captain seats) and 7-seater layouts, giving buyers choice depending on cabin space and comfort needs.”The SUV features a panoramic sunroof, multi-mode ventilated seats with eight massage programs, and a 12-way electrically adjustable driver seat with memory function all targeting maximum comfort.

Tech includes dual 12.3-inch screens  one for infotainment and one for the digital instrument cluster, wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, JBL 12-speaker audio system and 64-colour ambient lighting for customization.

Practical touches like dual wireless chargers, a 220V power outlet, gesture-controlled tailgate and plenty of cabin storage make daily use easy.

Engine & Performance

Under the hood the Majestor uses a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine producing around 215bhp and 478Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox for smooth shifts.”

Buyers can choose rear-wheel drive (2WD) or four-wheel drive (4WD) depending on needs.

The 4WD variants also get an advanced M-Hub off-road command centre with up to 10 terrain modes, including Sand, Rock, Mud, Snow and Normal making it capable off-road.

Segment-first triple differential locks enhance traction control and MG’s M-Crawl low-speed assist helps in tricky off-road conditions. Water-wading capability is rated up to 810mm, which is impressive for Indian terrains.

Technology & Connectivity

“MG’s i-Smart 2.0 connected car platform developed with Reliance Jio brings over 75 connected features.”

This includes remote vehicle functions via smartphone, digital Bluetooth key with sharing, Valet Mode, Quiet Mode and even music streaming integration.

Safety & Driver Assistance

Safety is a strong point the Majestor comes with Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) including adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, automatic emergency braking and intelligent headlamp control.

Standard equipment also includes six airbags, hill-hold and descent control, roll movement intervention, 360-degree camera and stability systems for passenger protection

Expected Price & Launch Timeline

Bookings have opened with a token amount of ₹41,000, with official prices expected to be announced in April 2026 and deliveries starting from May 2026.

Expected price range is ₹40–₹45 lakh (ex-showroom) making it a premium but competitively priced offering in the full-size SUV segment.
